Project 8 - Different Resistor Values Shown
Incorrect Output Pin


Problem:
Figure 14.8 (on page 156) shows a 1K resistor but the parts list (on page 154) and the circuit diagram (on page 155) show it as a 10K resistor.

Solution:
The actual value of the two fixed resistors on the PIC board do not matter. Either 1K or 10K can be used for either or both. There will be a slightly higher current drain if a 1K is used for R2 and the switch is closed so I would recommend using 10K resistors for both R1 and R2.
