Bank Holiday Operating from Crickley Hill: Easter and May Bank Holidays, 2011.

Now that we have exclusive access to the coach park at Crickley Hill (on Bank Holiday Mondays and provided no coaches are expected) we can erect better aerials and relax a bit more. 2011 provided an excellent opportunity to use this priveledge as Easter's Bank Holiday Monday was followed, a week later, by the May Bank Holiday. The May Bank Holiday also provided an opportunity for those members who had applied for a Notice of Variation (NoV) to use their coveted "R" prefix to celebrate the Royal Wedding, which had taken place on the Friday between Easter and the May Bank Holidays.

Easter saw only four members at the site: G6OTP (on first photo), 2E1GKY, G0VWH and G0HTO (on second photo), plus Jack (the dog).
Guess who took which photo?

The May Bank Holiday saw many more members, including:
2R1GKY, G3TDT, G6OTP, G0VWH, M6BRI and GR0ULH, who are all admiring Les's new HF antenna.
